Trial date set for teenagers accused of 'trying to kill' boys on bus in Glasgow

Three teenagers are to stand trial charged with trying to kill two boys on a bus in Glasgow.
The trio allegedly acted with others in attacking the pair - aged 14 and 13 - near to the Citizens Theatre in Gorbals, Glasgow on October 4 2020.
The accused - one aged 17 and the others 15 - are said to have punched, kicked and stamped on the boys as well as striking them on the body with a knife.
The attempted murder charges claim this was to their severe injury, permanent disfigurement and to the danger of their lives.
None of those involved can be identified due to their ages.
The two 15 year-olds face other charges including a claim they brandished an angle grinder in Howard Street in Glasgow city centre while the blade was spinning on September 18 2020.
One of them is further accused of assaulting a man with a brick in the city's Union Street two months earlier.
The case called at the High Court in Glasgow and lawyers pleaded not guilty on their behalf.
Lady Stacey set a trial due to begin in October. The case could last around seven days.
