Detectives are continuing enquiries after a 37 year old man was attacked within a property in Renfrew on Wednesday 16 March 2016. Around 7.20pm, police received a report of a man being injured in Houston Street, Renfrew. The man was taken to The Royal Alexandra Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious. Enquiries carried out so far have revealed the man was attacked within a flat in Houston Street. The assault was not a random attack and the man may have been targeted by people known to him. The suspects are described as white, with one being over 6 ft tall and thin. The other man is described as of average height and build. The men may have been in the company of a woman, also white and aged between 25 and 30 years old. Detective Inspector Alexander Nelson said: “We are gathering CCTV images to review in the hope that it provides us with further details on the suspects. I am appealing to people in the local area to think about whether they saw or heard something – did you see the two men, did you see the woman? Any small piece of information could prove vital in helping us locate the people responsible for this attack. Whilst we don’t know the motive for the attack we do not believe it to be random.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact officers at Paisley Police Office on 101. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
