14-year old attacked in school grounds in Easterhouse

A 14-year old boy has been left seriously injured after being assaulted in Easterhouse.

It happened last night at around 6pm, when the boy and his friends were within St Andrew's High School grounds on Torphine Crescent, when they were approached by a group of around four of five men wearing dark clothing with large heavy blades.

The 14-year old boy was taken to hospital where he remains after he suffered serious injuries to his body.

Detective Constable Claire Cunningham said : "The boy was playing with his friends when they were attacked by the group within the grounds of the school. He is currently recovering in hospital.

"The reason for the attack is unknown at this time and we are looking to trace four or five males who are described as all wearing dark clothing.

"Anyone who knows who is responsible or has any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 3341 of Thursday 28 May, 2020, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
