Police appeal for information following targeted attack in Glasgow

It happened near the Albert Railway Bridge on Clyde Street

Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault in Glasgow.

Around 9.40pm on Saturday, 26 November, a 25-year-old man was walking near the Albert Railway Bridge on Clyde Street, Glasgow when he was assaulted in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.

The 25-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The suspect is described as Asian, in his 20s, around 5ft 10in in height, of slim build with a moustache.

He is described as wearing a black jacket with a blue hood worn up, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. He was last seen walking towards Saltmarket.

Detective Constable Richard Carson of Glasgow CID said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are now appealing for the assistance of the public.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to police to contact us. In particular we believe there may have been a bike courier in the area at the time who we are keen to speak to.
