Assault Charge MP Joyce Faces Court

MP Eric Joyce is due to appear in court today on charges of assault and criminal damage.

The 54-year-old MP for Falkirk faces two counts of common assault and one of criminal damage in relation to an alleged incident in Camden, north London, in October.

He is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.

Joyce, a former Army major, currently sits in the Commons as an independent.
