Detectives in Hamilton are appealing for information following an assault and attempted robbery on Hillhouse Road.

The incident happened around 5.30pm on Friday, 20 December, 2024.

Police say a 43-year-old man was approached by a man who demanded his vehicle keys and assaulted him. The victim did not require medical treatment.

The suspect is described as being a white man, around 5ft 11in tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black tracksuit and a white and blue scarf.

Detective Constable Debbie Walker said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
