Artist wins funding to study what it's like to live in Glasgow
Ellie Henderson will not leave the city boundaries for a year
There's been an angry reponse on social media to an artist being awarded a £15,000 grant to exist solely within Glasgow for a year.
Creative Scotland has given £15,000 funding to The Glasgow Effect project, which looks at how a person's career, social life, family ties, carbon footprint and mental health would be affected by not leaving leave the city where they live.
Writing online Ms Harrison said the only exceptions would be in the event of the ill-heath or death of close relative or friend.
A Creative Scotland spokeswoman said: "Ellie's project met the criteria for Open Project Funding to develop her practice and we await, with interest, the outcome of her project."
The Glasgow Effect is the name given to Glasgows poor health and low life expectancy and the project event page was illustrated with a picture of chips.
The announcement sparked a string of comments on the event page, with some outraged at the use of public money.
