Arrest made over death of young dad found injured in Larkhall flat

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 23-year-old man in Larkhall.
Police were made aware of a report of a man being injured within a house in Riverside Road around 2am on Friday.
William Wardrop - from the local area - was taken to Wishaw General Hospital. He died a short time later.
His family said:
“William was a much loved dad, brother and fiancé who will be sadly missed by us all. He will remain forever in our hearts.”
Detective Inspector Frank Travers said:
“I would like to thank members of the community for their co-operation and assistance during this investigation.”
The 23-year-old arrested man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
