Arrest following city centre 'sexual assault'
The alleged attack happened in the early hours of Friday morning
A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault of a 36 year-old woman in Renfrew Lane near Charing Cross, Glasgow.
The incident is believed to have happened between 4.00am and 4.30am on Friday 17 March.
A 31 year-old man has been arrested and is currently being detained in police custody.
Police had shut off the area on Friday so forensics officers could examine the location for any additional detail which could assist police inquiries.
He is expected to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
