Detectives from British Transport Police are appealing for information in connection to an incident on a ScotRail train earlier this week.

The incident happened on board the 8.05pm ScotRail service between Glasgow Central and Neilston on Wednesday 9 August.

A 20-year-old woman was travelling when she witnessed a man acting in an anti-social manner. He was threatening and disturbing other passengers and playing loud music. He then started making sexual advances to the young woman, verbally abusing her and swearing.

The man is described as white, in his forties with multi-coloured hair. He was not wearing a top and had on a pair of gold trousers. Officers believe this man is often seen on this stretch of the line, playing loud music from a boom box.

His behaviour was threatening and intimidating to the woman.

Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have been on this service and saw a man acting suspiciously. Likewise, if you know someone that matches the description of the offender, or see this man on your travels, please contact police.
