Appeal after suspicious behavior outside Nitshill shop

There is an appeal for information in Nitshill after a car, driven by men reportedly wearing balaclavas, was spotted outside a shop as a security van picked up cash.

There is an appeal for information in Nitshill after a car, driven by men reportedly wearing balaclavas, was spotted outside a shop as a security van picked up cash.

Officers say the group - who are described as Asian - may have had weapons.

It happened at around 5 o'clock on Saturday at the B&M on Woodneuk Road.

Anyone who saw the blue BMW 3 series estate is urged to contact police.

The driver of the BMW is described is Asian and around 50 years of age. He had short dark-coloured hair, a moustache and had acne scarring on his face.

The two male rear seat passengers are described as Asian and aged in their 20s. The rear windows of the car were tinted.

Officers are continuing to study CCTV footage from in and around the area to gather any further information relating to this incident.

Detective Constable Stephen Greenshields of the Community Investigation Unit is asking anyone with information regarding this vehicle to contact his office at Helen Street Police Office through 101.
