Appeal following serious assault in Airdrie
A woman was attacked in Community Nature Park area of the town on 27 November
Following extensive enquiries, detectives are now appealing for information after the serious sexual assault of a female in the Community Nature Park area of Airdrie.
The incident happened between 6pm and 7pm on Monday, 27 November, 2023, near to the cycle path.
Officers are keen to speak to two joggers, both wearing head torches, who stopped to assist the female on the cycle path close to Ayr Drive.
Detective Sergeant Stephen Knox said: “A dedicated team of officers has carried out extensive enquiries and we are asking these two joggers, or anyone else who was in the area around this time, to please contact us.
"We understand this is a concerning incident and we have increased, high-visibility patrols in the area.”
