Police appeal following Lanarkshire robbery

Detectives in Lanarkshire are appealing for information following a robbery in Cumbernauld.

Around 7pm on Saturday, 2 December, 2023, a 33-year-old man was assaulted and had personal belongings stolen from him by three male youths on Glenhove Road.

The man was taken to Monklands Hospital in Airdrie for treatment of a serious facial injury.

One of the suspects is described as white, around 6ft tall, with red hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit at the time of the incident. There are no descriptions for the other two suspects.

Detective Sergeant Greig Muir said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible, and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

“If you have information that could help with our enquiries, please contact police on 101 quoting incident 1420 of 2 December 2023.”
