Police are appealing for help to trace a woman who's been reported missing from West Kilbride.

Leanne Cousins was last seen was last seen by a family member driving away from her home on the town's Farmfield Terrace at about 5pm on Monday August 7.

She failed to return home that evening and the only other contact came via a phone call to her sister around 8.45pm that night.

She is described as around 5ft 4 inches in height with a slim build and brown wavy hair.

She was wearing a blue, zipped jacket, jeans and white trainers.

Enquiries carried out so far suggest Leanne may be in the Stirling area and officers have been visiting several campsites in an effort to locate her.

However, all attempts to find her have so far proved unsuccessful.

Inspector Christine Boyd said:

“It is out of character for Leanne to leave and not be in touch with her family.

"The fact that Leanne has recently been dealing with some personal issues and the fact that there has been no contact since Monday evening is giving us cause for concern.

"Her family is extremely worried and just want to know she is safe and well. I would ask anyone who has seen Leanne or has seen the Fiat Ducato Campervan to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Irvine Police Station via 101, quoting reference number 3519 of 8 August 2017.
