Police investigating a four vehicle crash on the M80, near Haggs yesterday afternoon, say they’re keen to trace the driver of a silver car that stopped nearby.

The four vehicle collision happened around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 13 July, near to the junction with the M876, where it joins the M80.

No one was seriously injured.

A blue Volkswagen Golf stopped on the outside lane of the motorway near to the collision, and a silver vehicle similar to a Ford Mondeo or Vauxhall Insignia also stopped.

A man came out of the silver car, before returning to the vehicle with two other men and drove off.

Sergeant Ruth Aitchison, of the road policing unit in Stirling, said: "We're eager to trace the driver of the silver car that stopped near to the incident.

"If any passers-by witnessed this, or if anyone has any relevant information, please contact us."
