Detectives in Clydebank are appealing for information after two people were assaulted in the town.

The incident happened on Longden Street in Whitecrook around 8.50pm on Monday, 6 February.

A 57 year-old-man and 40-year-old woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment following the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Ross Gemmell said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances and would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“Our enquiries so far suggest a number of people were in the area at the time and I would ask anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to police to get in touch.
