Appeal after biker dies in Paisley crash

A man has died after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Paisley on Sunday evening.

A man has died after a crash between a motorbike and a car in Paisley on Sunday evening.

33 year-old Brian Crossan from Blantyre was riding along Penilee Road near Arkleston Road around 5.45pm when he was hit by a Fiat 500.

He died at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the car were uninjured.

The road was closed while a full investigation was carried out at the scene.

A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Kenneth Malaney of the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Greenock Police Office is appealing for any further witnesses. He said: “I would appeal to any witnesses to this crash who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

"I would also like to speak to anyone who was driving on that road around the time of the crash, and anyone with dash cam footage that may assist our investigation to contact the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Greenock Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 3374 of 10th June.”
