Appeal after attack in Blantyre

A hunt is underway Blantyre after two men forced their way into a house and attacked a man.
The 36 year-old man was taken to Hairmyres Hospital with a head injury and a 55 year-old woman was pushed in the incident in Springwell Crescent but was uninjured.
It happened on 2nd November and police are appealing for witnesses.
The first suspect is around 6 ft. tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a black woolly tammy hat and a yellow hi-vis vest. He was wearing orange gloves and was wearing a black scarf across his face to conceal his identify.
The second suspect is around 6ft. tall with a heavy build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing and bright blue trainers. He too covered his face with a scarf.
Enquiries carried out so far have revealed that a blue coloured SUV vehicle with a black roof was used by the suspects.
Detective Constable Andrew Fearnside said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the suspects or saw a blue coloured SUV type vehicle in the area to contact us. Any small piece of information could help us piece together the circumstances of what has happened. In particular, I would ask motorists with dash cams to check their footage as it could contain images which could assist our enquiries.”
