No trace of missing Glenrothes man Allan Bryant following four day search at Fife beauty spot

The family of missing Allan Bryant Junior have been told by police that no trace of their loved one has been found following a four day search of a Fife beauty spot.
Officers investigating the disappearance of the Glenrothes man more than a decade ago spent Friday 5th to Monday 8th April searching Auchtermuchty Common.
Allan was just 23 when he was last seen in the early hours of Sunday 3rd November 2013 leaving Styx nightclub in Glenrothes.
Despite being one of the biggest missing person investigations in Scotland his whereabouts remains a mystery.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told us:
“Following information received in connection with missing man Allan Bryant, officers attended at Auchermuchty Common on Friday, 5 April, 2024.
“Enquiries were carried out and were completed on Monday, 8 April, 2024.
“The family of Allan were made aware and officers continue to provide them with support.
“Allan Bryant remains a missing person and any new information will be assessed.
“Officers continue to make enquiries to trace Allan and anyone with new information should call Police Scotland on 101.”
What Allan's family have said
Tay news spoke to Allan's father, who is also called Allan.
He told us:
"It's just getting more difficult all the time."
"The fight for my son Allan is never going to stop, but it is just soul destroying because all we want to do is find Allan and bring him home."
He added:
"My family have been thinking 'what will we do next?'"
"Obviously we will still do everything we can to keep Allan in the public eye and make appeals for people to come forward with information, we just need a little time to digest this information with Allan not being found yet again."
