Drugs worth a five figure sum have been seized by police in Alexandria.
A Ford Fiesta was stopped in the Redburn area, following a police pursuit by Road Policing officers, around 9.05pm on Saturday, 19th October.
Heroin worth around £25,000 was recovered.
A 21 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
Sergeant Kevin Craig, from the Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Road Policing Team, said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities.
"I want to reassure the people of Argyll and West Dunbartonshire that we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the region.
