Is that you Adele? - 5 Acts to Watch Out for in 2015
We take a look at 5 big names to listen out for next year!
It’s been an incredible year for music in the UK – twelve months that saw, among other things, the return of Take That, the formation of McBusted and the rise of so many exciting new talents. However, bearing in mind the last few busy months of 2014, we’re taking a look ahead to what’s coming up after the New Year and who we should look out for on the musical landscape. Whether they’re new on the scene or returning after a long break, here are our top five acts to keep an eye on in 2015. Take That Having ended the year on a high with their incredible comeback, Take That have topped the charts once again. Their first album since 2010 went straight to No 1 – as did their most recent single, These Days – so 2015 looks set to be a pretty busy year for these guys. The band will be on the road again in April for a sold-out arena tour, and if their latest album’s anything to go by, it’ll be worth every penny. James Bay He’s already won the Critics Choice at the Brit Awards and toured with Hozier on the Irish singer’s autumn tour, but 2015 could still be the biggest year yet for James Bay. The young singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire just released his debut album, Hold Back the River, and he’s being hotly tipped for the months ahead. It’s not surprising either – with intelligent lyrics, a truly unique voice and (it has to be said) a great taste in hats, James Bay is certainly headed in the right direction. McBusted Combining two already hugely popular bands – Busted and McFly – these six lads can look forward to a pretty exciting year ahead. They’ve just released their explosive debut album as McBusted, following an arena tour that literally sold out within minutes, and they’ll be back on the road in March 2015. Their next single, Get Over It, will be out early next year. Adele At the age of 26, Adele has become one of the most influential female artists in the UK – and possibly the world. Her album 21 broke records on both sides of the Atlantic and she’s received numerous awards, including a Golden Globe for her song Skyfall. The singer’s been pretty quiet recently, but rumours are now circulating that 2015 could see her return to the spotlight, with new material and even another tour. Nothing’s confirmed yet, but it’s definitely worth keeping our eyes open for the New Year. Ella Eyre With a MOBO Award for Best Newcomer, it’s been a big year for London’s Ella Eyre. However, it seems the 20-year-old is just getting started! She’s yet to release her first album, but she’s already making a name for herself. Having featured on Rudimental’s chart-topping single Waiting All Night (winning Single of the Year at the Brit Awards) and having been confirmed as the support act for Olly Murs’ 2015 tour, Ella Eyre is pretty much the definition of “one to watch.” So there we have it...five acts who might be worth keeping an eye on next year! Who are you most looking forward to listening to?
