Aberdeenshire schoolboy, 12, dies after falling from a tree in Ayrshire park

A 12-year-old Aberdeenshire schoolboy has died after falling from a tree in Ayrshire.
He's been named by police as Lachlan MacKenzie from Muir of Fowlis.
Emergency services rushed to Troon after the accident just after 3:00pm yesterday, but Lachlan was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been told.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
