A84 to Close As Officers Investigate Serious Car Crash

Police are returning to the scene of a crash which seriously injured a man and two nine year old boys to try and trace any witnesses.

The A84 will be closed by 30 minutes from 1pm as Road Policing Officers and the Forensic Support Unit attending carry out further investigations at the scene.

Two nine-year-old boys remain in hospital two weeks and a half after they were seriously injured in a car crash.

The boys were travelling in a Volkswagen Golf that collided with a Citroen Berlingo on the A84 between Callander and Strathyre, Stirling, on Sunday September 13.

A 54-year-old man who was driving the Golf is also still in hospital.

One of the nine-year-olds is said to be in a serious condition while the other boy is said to be stable in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.

A 30-year-old woman who was travelling in the Berlingo was also taken to hospital but has since been released. A two-year-old girl also in the car was uninjured.
