Pensioner dead after mystery crash

A 90 year old man's been discovered dead inside a car which crashed into a field in Argyll.

Police spotted the silver Skoda Karoq near the village of Muasdale in Kintyre when they were passing at around 3.10pm on Tuesday.

Other emergency services were called and the 90-year-old male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

They've issued an appeal to other drivers who were using the A83 between Campbeltown and Tarbert yesteday.

Sergeant Kevin Craig from Argyll and West Dunbartonshire road policing unit said: "I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the silver Skoda Karoq travelling south on the A83, or leaving the road into the field, to please get in touch.

"Anyone with information can contact Argyll and West Dunbartonshire road policing via 101, quoting incident number 2164 of Tuesday 27 November 2018.
