9 to 5 no more! Glasgow firm are first in Scotland to introduce six hour working day
A marketing firm in Glasgow's the first company in Scotland to introduce a six hour working day after being inspired by Sweden.
A Glasgow company has shortened its employees’ working day to just six hours.
Senshi Digital’s owner Chris Torres was inspired by a Scandinavian model aimed at boosting wellbeing and efficiency, which he saw on a documentary.
His workers say they feel ‘much more productive’ since the work day was reduced.
The employees work from 9.30am until 3.30pm, with a mandatory half an hour lunch break where they have to leave their desks.
Shortening their day by two hours was a weird experience to begin with, but they all soon got used to it.
A little bit of extra time has meant they can indulge in some hobbies and spend more time with family.
