54-year-old man fighting for life after e-scooter crash with HGV in Glasgow

A 54-year-old man's fighting for life in hospital following a crash between an e-scooter and an HGV in Glasgow.

The incident happened around 11am on Friday, 5 July, 2024, between the junctions of Corkerhill Road and Dunellan Street.

The road was closed for around four hours and police are appealing for witnesses

Medical staff at the Queen Elizabeth have describe the man's injuries as life-threatening.

The road was closed for around four hours to allow enquiries to be carried out.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said:

“This collision occurred on a busy road in the middle of the day, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“If you have any relevant dashcam footage or private CCTV that could assist our investigation or saw an e-scooter in the area prior to the crash, please contact us.”
