Police are looking for a man who assaulted a 53 year-old woman on a train.

She was travelling from Glasgow to Airdrie, where British Transport Police say she was "touched inappropriately".

Her attacker then got off the train at Coatdyke.

He's been described as being 5ft 2ins with short, dark hair.

He was wearing jeans, a black and white checked jacket and black gloves.

Police are appealing for another passenger on the train who stayed on board to comfort the victim to come forward.
