Over £400 thousand worth of drugs found in Clydebank

Drugs with a street value of about £420,000 have been recovered by police in Clydebank.

Officers made the significant'' find of 420kg of cannabis from a premises in Clydebank industrial estate, Hamilton Street, in the West Dunbartonshire town on Tuesday.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find and police said further inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Detective Chief Inspector Calum Young said: This is a significant recovery of controlled drugs which followed an intelligence operation in the Clydebank area.

Our operational activity continues and this seizure simply underlines our commitment to target and disrupt those individuals who seek to engage in the supply of controlled drugs.''
