34 year old man slashed in Priesthill

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside a shop in Househillwood Road in Priesthill.

Around 7.55pm on Sunday 30 December 2018 a 34 year old man was assaulted by another man outside the Martin McColl’s shop in Househillwood Rd, Glasgow.

The injured man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for a slash on his neck and then released from hospital.

The suspect was last seen heading north towards Lunderston Drive and is described as white, 30’s, 5ft 10, medium build and was wearing a black padded jacket, grey jogging bottoms, green baseball cap and was carrying a plastic carrier bag.

Detective Constable Mark Hendry at Helen Street Cid said: "We know that both the victim and the suspect had been within the shop just before the assault took place and we are currently making local enquiries and viewing CCTV in attempt to gather further information.

"Anyone who has any information as to the identity of the suspect or has any other information that could assist us in tracing him is asked to contact police at Helen Street CID via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 3552 of 30 December 2018."
