3 Teens Identified In Greenock Cemetery Murder Hunt
Detectives investigating the murder of a man found injured in a cemetery said they have identified three teenage boys after appealing for them to come forward.
Michael Mearns, 56, was found with serious injuries at Greenock cemetery in the town's South Street at 8pm on July 30.
He died in hospital the following day.
Detective Chief Inspector Laura McLuckie had urged the teenagers to contact police even if they thought they had no information to give.
They were seen leaving a shop in South Street and walking past the gates to the cemetery shortly before Mr Mearns was found.
Last week police also appealed for help to trace two men and two women also seen in the area at the time of the incident.
