An arrest has been made over the death of a 23-year-old man in Greenock.
An arrest has been made over the death of a 23-year-old man in Greenock.
Lee Monaghan was found seriously injured outside a block of flats in the town's Belville Street at around 11.20pm on Wednesday. He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Police launched a murder investigation and appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
A 20-year-old man has now been arrested and detained in connection with the death.
A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal and the 20-year-old is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday.
