2 kids hurt in Ayrshire crash
The accident happened at a junction near Dalry
Two children are in a serious condition in hospital following a road crash.
It happened at around 2.30pm on Thursday on the B780 Dalry to Kilbirnie road, near to its junction with the B784, Ayrshire.
The collision involved a black Chevrolet Spark and a red Vaxuhall Corsa.
An eight-year-old girl and four-year-old boy who were in the Corsa being driven by a 28-year-old woman were taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and are said to be in a serious condition.
The 28-year-old woman was also taken to hospital and is described by medical staff as stable.
A 66-year-old woman who was driving the Chevrolet and her passenger, a 32-year-old man, were both taken to Crosshouse Hospital for minor injuries.
The B780 was closed to allow officers to carry our investigations into the full circumstances.
