2 arrested after car smashes into Glasgow tenement
The car damaged gas pipes at the building in Saracen Street
A block of flats in Glasgow was evacuated after a suspected stolen car crashed into a building causing a gas leak.
The incident happened at around 1:40am on Monday at Saracen Street.
A car collided with the building, causing damage to a gas main resulting in 13 people being evacuated.
Emergency services attended the scene and two men are in police custody.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The crash happened at about 1:40am on Monday.
"A vehicle lost control on Saracen Street and collided with a block of flats, causing damage to some of the gas fixtures.
"It was necessary to have 13 people evacuated.
"The damage has now been repaired and the gas leak has been sealed off. Two men are in custody in relation to a stolen vehicle."
