15 year old boy in hospital after being attacked with weapon

A teenage boy is in hospital with serious facial injuries after being attacked by another youth with a weapon in Linwood.

It happened on Middleton Road at 9.25pm on Saturday night.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The suspect is described as being around 15 to 17-years-old, around 5ft 7in in height, with brown/light ginger hair and spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing a black t-shirt and red shorts.

Detective Constable Robert Urquhart, from Paisley CID, said: "This incident saw a teenager sustain a serious facial injury and it is vital we trace the individual responsible.

"Extensive enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.

"I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage to contact us."
