13 year old injured in railway station attack

A 13-year-old boy needed hospital treatment after he was attacked by another teenager during a violent disturbance at a railway station.

The row involving a group of teenage boys broke out at around 1.40pm on Friday July 5 at Scotstounhill station in Glasgow.

The boy suffered a head injury when he was assaulted by one of the group and was taken to hospital for treatment. He was discharged later that day.

British Transport Police (BTP) are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.

Four of the boys were white and one was Asian. All are believed to be aged between 13 and 16.

One of the white boys had dark short hair, was wearing a blue Lacoste jumper with a bright blue Lacoste logo and blue trousers, while another had medium-length dark hair and was wearing glasses and a grey hooded top with dark joggers.

A third white boy had medium-length dark hair and was wearing glasses and dark joggers, while the fourth had short dark hair and was wearing a grey hooded North Face top and black joggers.

The fifth boy was Asian with medium-length dark hair and was wearing a blue hooded top and grey joggers.
