13-year old boy appears in court charged with attempted murder in Glasgow
The teenager made no plea to charges that he attacked a 21 year old at the beginning of April
A teenager has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder a man in Glasgow City Centre. The 13-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly punched and stabbed a 21-year old.
It's claimed the alleged murder bid took place on April 5 at Clyde Walkway.
The teenager appeared in private at the city’s sheriff court where he was represented by Imran Hussain - he made no plea.
It’s alleged the 13-year-old, while acting with another person, repeatedly punched Mr Harper on the head and repeatedly stabbed him to his severe injury, danger of life and attempted to murder him.
He faces another charge of being in possession of a knife, and a third charge of throwing a jacket and knife into the River Clyde in an attempt to defeat the ends of justice.
Sheriff Andrew Cubie granted bail and the schoolboy is expected to return to court at a later date.
