1) Prince William & Kate Middleton
We couldn't have a list of memorable proposals without including Wills & Kate! The handsome Prince made his proposal whilst on a 10 day Safari in Africa. Kate told reporters in 2010 that "it was very romantic."
2) Pink & Carey Hart
Not one to follow tradition, Pink proposed to her motorcycle racer boyfriend during one of his races in Mammoth Lakes. She held up a pit-board with the words "Will you marry me?", but when Carey didn't stop, Pink changed the words to "I'm serious!" At which point he pulled out of the race and picked her up!

3) Heidi Klum & Seal
Sadly this couple are no longer together, but we had to give Seal props for his incredible proposal! Klum told Marie Clare that whilst on a trip to the Canadian Rockies, Seal took her by helicopter 15,000 feet high into a mountain, "He had an igloo built **there, and they'd brought up everything: a bed with sheets inside the igloo, rose petals everywhere, candles. Very, very romantic."
4) Kanye West & Kim Kardashian
As extravagant as ever, we wouldn't expect anything less from this celeb couple! West hired out San Francisco's AT&T Park and proposed with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwarz diamond ring in front of Kim's friends and family. The Jumbotron flashed the words "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!", and an orchestra played Lana Del Ray's "Young and Beautiful."

5) Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves
Proposing to his long-time girlfriend on Christmas Day, McConaughey wrapped the engagement ring in eight different boxes; when Camila got to the final box he got down on one knee and said, "Will you marry me and take my name?" Talking on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, McConaughey recalled that after asking the question,"the first words out of her mouth were not yes. No. There was not a yes, I'm not gonna say what it was, but I was like, "I'm down on one knee and I'll stay here awhile, I'll outlast you"…she conceded." Phew! That would have been an awkward Christmas otherwise.
6) Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
This proposal was very much a family affair; Pitt gathered the couples 6 children together, and proposed to Jolie with a custom made diamond engagement ring – about time Brad!

The Zoolander star snuck into his girlfriend's house and decorated it with rose petals and candles. On her return he got down on one knee and popped the question. The pair have been going strong since their marriage in 2000. Lovely!

Will Smith kept it simple when he popped the question: 'We were just lying there, going to sleep. I looked over at her and I said, "Hey, we might be real good married. Wassup? You wanna marry me?"
