2023 has certainly been a huge year for streaming platform Netflix! As well as releasing movies such as Luther: The Fallen Sun and Murder Mystery 2, the platform also introduced users to new series such as Bodies and The Night Agent, as well as delighting us with old classics such as The Crown, Selling Sunset, and You.

It's now time to look ahead to 2024, with Netflix promising users some huge new (and old) TV shows and movies, sure to get you all glued to your TV screens!

TV shows coming out on Netflix in 2024:

Fans will be pleased to know shows such as Emily In Paris, Heartstopper, and The Night Agent will all return in 2024, as well as new series Fool Me Once and Love Is Blind: UK.

Fool Me Once

Release date: 1st January 2024


Cast: Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Richard Armitage, Joanna Lumley, Emmett J. Scanlan, Dino Fetscher.


Synopsis: Fool Me Once follows Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage). But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see a man she recognises in her house. Her husband, who she thought was dead...

The Brothers Sun series 1

Release date: 4th January 2024


Cast: Justin Chien, Michelle Yeoh, Sam Song Li, Highdee Kuan, and Joon Lee.


Synopsis: An irreverent action series that follows two brothers who fight to save their family from warring Triad factions in Los Angeles.

Griselda

Release date: 25th January 2024


Cast: Sofía Vergara, Alberto Guerra, Christian Tappan, Martín Rodríguez, Juliana Aidén Martinez, Vanessa Ferlito.


Synopsis: Griselda is inspired by the life of the savvy and ambitious Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. In 1970s-80s Miami, Griselda's lethal blend of unsuspected savagery and charm helped her expertly navigate between business and family, leading her to become widely known as "the Godmother."

Avatar: the Last Airbender

Release date: 22nd February 2024


Cast: Gordon Cormier, Ian Ousley, Kiawentiio, Dallas Liu, Ken Leung, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Daniel Dae Kim.


Synopsis: A live-action reimagining of the beloved animated series following Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation.

One Day

Release date: 8th February 2024


Cast: Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Essie Davis, Tim McInnerny, Amber Grappy, Jonny Weldon, Eleanor Tomlinson, Joely Richardson, Toby Stephens.


Synopsis: One Day tells the story of Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew who, on 15th July 1988, the night of their graduation, speak for the very first time. The next morning, they go their separate ways but where will they be on this one ordinary day the next year, and the year after that, and every year that follows? Each episode finds Dex and Em, one year older, on this one particular date, as they grow and change, move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak. One Day is a decades-spanning love story, based on the worldwide bestseller by David Nicholls.

The Gentlemen

Release date: 7th March 2024


Cast: Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Giancarlo Esposito, Peter Serafinowicz, Vinnie Jones.


Synopsis: The series follows Eddie Horniman (Theo James), who has inherited his father's sizeable estate only to discover it's sitting on top of a weed empire, one that a host of unsavoury characters from Britain's criminal underworld want a piece of. Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie has to transform from a straight-up soldier to a straight-up beast and play the gangsters at their own game. And boy, does he know how to play…

Ripley

Release date: 4th April 2024


Cast: Andrew Scott, Johnny Flynn, Dakota Fanning.


Synopsis: Tom Ripley (Andrew Scott), a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York, is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home. Tom's acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder. The limited series drama is based on Patricia Highsmith's bestselling Tom Ripley novels.

Love Is Blind: UK

Release date: 7th August 2024


Hosts: Emma and Matt Willis.


Synopsis: UK singles who want to be loved for who they are have signed up for a less-conventional approach to modern dating, and will choose someone to marry without ever meeting them. Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the Pods. When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors push them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?

Emily In Paris series 4

Release date: Part one: 15th August 2024.
Part two: 12th September 2024.

Heartstopper series 3

Release date: 3rd October 2024


Cast: Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, William Gao, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan.


Synopsis: Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. When gentle Charlie and rugby-loving Nick meet at secondary school, they quickly discover that their unlikely friendship is blossoming into an unexpected romance. The Diplomat series 2

Release date: 31st October 2024


Cast: Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, and Ato Essandoh.


Synopsis: In the midst of an international crisis, a career diplomat lands in a high-profile job she's unsuited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.

The Night Agent series 2

Release date: Originally planned for 2024 but now postponed until winter 2025.


Cast: Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Eve Harlow, Hong Chau and D.B. Woodside.


Synopsis: Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent is a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings - until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.

Society Of The Snow

Release date: 4th January 2024


Cast: Enzo Vogrincic, Matías Recalt, Agustín Pardella, Diego Vegezzi, Esteban Kukuriczka, Rafael Federman, Andy Pruss.


Synopsis: In 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which had been chartered to fly a rugby team to Chile, crashed in the heart of the Andes. Only 29 of its 45 passengers survived the accident. Trapped in one of the most hostile and inaccessible environments on the planet, they have to resort to extreme measures to stay alive.

Good Grief

Release date: 5th January 2024


Cast: Daniel Levy, Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Celia Imrie, David Bradley, Arnaud Valois and Luke Evans.


Synopsis: Marc (Dan Levy) was content living in the shadow of his larger-than-life husband, Oliver (Luke Evans). But when Oliver unexpectedly dies, Marc's world shatters, sending him and his two best friends, Sophie (Ruth Negga) and Thomas (Himesh Patel), on a soul-searching trip to Paris that reveals some hard truths they each needed to face. Good Grief marks Levy's debut as a feature-film writer and director.

Lift

Release date: 12th January 2024


Cast: Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D'Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, with Jean Reno and Sam Worthington.


Synopsis: An international heist crew is recruited to prevent a terrorist attack, and must pull off the heist on a plane mid-flight.

The Kitchen

Release date: Early 2024


Cast: Kane Robinson, Jedaiah Bannerman, Ian Wright, Hope Ikpoku Jr., Demmy Ladipo, Cristale, Backroad Gee, Xirone Russell, Teija Kabs, Rasaq Kukoyi.


Synopsis: The Kitchen is set in a dystopian 2044 London where the gap between rich and poor has been stretched to its limits. All forms of social housing have been eradicated and London's working classes have been forced to live in temporary accommodation on the outskirts of the city. We follow an estranged father and son that come together to build a relationship as they battle to survive in a system that is stacked against them.

SCOOP

Release date: 2024


Cast: Gillian Anderson, Keeley Hawes, Billie Piper, Rufus Sewell.

Synopsis: The Beautiful Game follows a team of English homeless footballers, led by their coach Mal (Bill Nighy), who travel from London to Rome to compete in a global annual football tournament - The Homeless World Cup. At the last minute they decide to bring with them a talented striker Vinny (Micheal Ward), but he must confront his own issues and once-promising past, in order to help the team win the cup and move on with his own life. In Rome just as in life, everything's to play for.
