Megan Barton-Hanson is 'not surprised' as fresh reports claim her ex-boyfriend Wes Nelson had 'a thing' with dancing partner Vanessa Bauer in the early stages of the Dancing On Ice competition.

Megs and Wes, who coupled up on Love Island 2018, shockingly announced their split this January after a series of heated rows, and decided they were better off as friends. It was rumoured that Megan was jealous of the closeness between Wes and and his 22-year-old professional dance partner, however she cited their four year age gap as the reason they split.

She previously told Ok! Magazine, "Our ambitions and goals in life are very different - Wes is younger than me and wrapped up in the fame bubble - but I still love him, which is why it hurts so much."

According to the Mail Online, Wes didn't waste anytime moving on and did have a thing with Vanessa a few months ago.

A source said, "They Wes and Vanessa had a thing at the start of the competition. Wes and Vanessa were instantly attracted to each other, you only had to be in the same room as them for a minute to see sparks were flying.

"But it wasn’t long before Wes decided he would rather stay single. He is the man of the moment and fast becoming a household name."

Series Three: Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow

The nation fell in love with Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Camilla Thurlow in 2017. And, after she had her heart broken by a number of different men in the villa, model Jamie Jewitt arrived and swept Camilla off her feet.

After enjoying time together outside of the show and meeting each other's families, the couple are living happily ever after.

Insiders close to Megan told the Mail Online that she was 'not surprised' and was focusing on her work.

"Megan has always maintained her love for Wes but clearly there were suspicions from the very start about Wes and Vanessa's relationship, ultimately leading to the breakdown in Megan and Wes' relationship.

'She's gutted to hear these rumours but she's not surprised, equally she's getting on with her life, enjoying being single and focusing on her work."
