MAFS Australia fans torn over new couple Madeline and Ash

Madeline is certainly a character!

Author: Alex RossPublished 20th Mar 2024

With this year's series of Married At First Sight Australia in full swing, bosses have now thrown new cast members into the mix, including groom Michael Goonan, who was jilted by his first match earlier in the series.

After Michael married his match Stephen Stewart, viewers were then introduced to 30-year-old psychic medium Madeline Maxwell, and 33-year-old salesman Ash Galati.

And whilst viewers fell in love with Ash, who broke down on the show about the sad passing of his beloved brother, fans were seemingly torn about Madeline on first impression.

After appearing on Aussie soap Home and Away playing the role of Amber, Madeline was quick to reveal she now has a gift of connecting with the spiritual world, something which didn't impress fellow co-stars Lauren and Tori.

Despite Madeline and Ash seemingly getting on well at the aisle, things turned awkward during the photoshoot, when Madeline 'felt a bad vibe'. Despite quickly changing her mind on Ash when he opened up about his spiritual encounter, viewers were torn over whether the couple will work out.

One wrote: 'Hey Madeline, here’s my download - Ash isn’t your type and you’re making it obvious…. #MAFS', with another adding: 'Madeline and Ash have the chemistry of wedding cake toppers #mafs #mafsaus'. (sic)

A third wrote: 'Poor Ash, he got the raw end of the stick being matched with Madeline #MAFS #MAFSAU'. (sic)

Another added: 'Well this isn't going to work'. (sic)
