This Morning’s Holly and Phil to get £150k EACH for an extra half hour of the show
Not a bad hourly rate!
They are already two of the most popular TV presenters on the box, but Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are set to get a MAJOR increase in their pay, with reports suggesting they'll each get £150,000 extra a year for hosting This Morning for an additional 30 minutes in 2020.
Bosses are planning for the popular ITV show to start at 10am next year, instead of the usual 10.30am slot, meaning Holly and Phillip will be working an extra 30 minutes in their morning shift.
The Daily Mirror are now reporting that an extra £300,000 has been added to the This Morning budget, making sure the popular hosts and paid well for their additional work. The extra money will be added to their current £600,000 a year salary, with Holly's pay rise in 2017 meaning she now matches that of her co-presenter Phillip's.
Bosses are planning to make This Morning longer following the axe of The Jeremy Kyle Show earlier this year. The popular show was taken off air by ITV after the tragic death of guest Steve Dymond, after he failed a lie detector test on the show.
As well as This Morning set to start 30 minutes earlier, Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid will start later at 6.30am, with Lorraine being moved to 9am.
These changes are expected in the new year.
Meanwhile, as well as their role on This Morning, Holly and Phillip will also be back on the ice in 2020, for the brand new series of Dancing On Ice.
Bosses have now confirmed the line-up, which features the likes of Maura Higgins, Michael Barrymore, and Lisa George from Coronation Street.

Of normally being the one to get thrown into the air, Perri said, "Role reversal! I'm pretty sure my job title was to get thrown about. I would love to back flip on ice, imagine how sick that would be! But I said I was going to get on the ice and spin and flip and do this, but I turned up to that first training session and I just wanted to put one foot in front of the other and make sure I don't fall over."
