Harvey Price has landed his own BBC show

He's got a passion for trains

19-year-old Harvey Price has been given his very own BBC TV show, following the success of hard-hitting documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me earlier this year.

After expressing his love for trains on the show, Harvey, who was born with Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic condition that affects his body, appetite, behaviour and learning development, has reportedly now been given the opportunity to take part in an eight-part series about trains and automobiles.

His mum Katie confirmed the news during a recent interview with Community Living Magazine, saying: “On the back of it, the BBC have offered Harvey and his friend Zac an 8-part series on trains and automobiles. There will be some gorgeous trains like the Bluebell Railway.

“I am not interested in bloody trains. Me and Jaenette (Zac’s mum) will be sitting there having our tea and sandwiches saying ‘what are we bloody doing here on a train station?’ But, as long as they are happy, that’s what matters.”

Katie Price: Harvey and Me, which aired in January, showcased Harvey's love for trains, with Katie taking him to the local train stations where he could watch and take photos of the trains going by.

Following the documentary, Katie was praised online for her parenting skills with 19-year-old Harvey, with many not previously understanding the struggles that come with his disabilities.

One viewer wrote: 'Watching Harvey and Me and I’m thinking Katie Price really doesn’t get enough credit for what a fantastic single mother she is to all her children'.

Another added: '@KatiePrice just wanted to thank you for doing the documentary Harvey and me. I really enjoyed watching this and learned a lot from watching. You are such a great mum and seeing how much Harvey trusts and connects with you speaks volumes. He's a amazing young man and seeing him'. (sic)

A third then wrote: 'Just watched @KatiePrice Harvey and me, that lady gets a lot of stick, i follow them all on Instagram and that episode just showed the love they have for each other, Harvey is such a polite young man i love him! Such an amazing watch, i did cry a few times too'. (sic)

No further details have been given from the BBC about Harvey's new show, but it was confirmed earlier this year that National Rail had offered the teenager a role as an announcer!
