Despite their impending divorce, Cain Dingle can't help himself coming to her rescue when he hears what's been going on from Nate Robinson. But when he shoots who he thinks is a rustler, both he and Moira are in for a shock...

Elsewhere, Pierce Harris is still keeping Vanessa Woodfield hostage, with Charity Dingle and Rhona Goskirk none the wiser about his return to Emmerdale.

Dawn loses her temper in front of Lucas and scares him

With Charity convinced that Vanessa has left her, Rhona urges her not to give up on their relationship, while she battles with her own fears about Pierce leaving prison.

Dawn Taylor has been worrying about her first unsupervised visit with Lucas but things seem to be going well when Billy Fletcher builds him a pillow fort and they're all having fun. But soon disaster hits and Dawn is left wondering if she'll be able to see Lucas again.

Paddy Kirk goes to visit Marlon Dingle in prison, Leyla Harding and Liam Cavanagh grow closer and Jai Sharma arrives home from rehab early.

CHECK OUT: Emmerdale spoilers Monday 17 - Friday 21 February

Unseen by Rhona, Pierce watches through the window of Mulberry planning their reunion as Vanessa is held hostage.

Back at the house, Vanessa struggles to free herself as she panics about Johnny's wherabouts. When Pierce turns on the baby monitor and she hears Johnny laugh, she's relieved, but Pierce threatens to turn it off again if she makes things difficult.

Vanessa is incredulous that Pierce still thinks Rhona will take him back after the stunt he's pulled. When Vanessa receives a voicemail to her phone and Pierce listens to it, has her safety been jeopardised further?

Meanwhile, Charity is convinced that Vanessa has left her, unaware of her plight. Rhona urges Charity to make up with Vanessa but Charity seems to have checked out.

Later on, Ryan calls at Mulberry with a major confession for Rhona, who is caught off guard by finding him on her doorstep.

As Ryan comes clean to Rhona about what he knows, Rhona has to decide if she'll go to the police with this new info, knowing that it could changed everything if she does.

Rhona has confided in Paddy about Pierce being released from prison and that he's tried to contact her. As she shows him the card she's found, we can see she's terrified.

The next day, Paddy goes to visit Marlon in prison to update him on how the campaign to clear his name is going. While he's there, he tells him about Rhona's concern about Pierce.

Elsewhere, Dawn has been sick with worry hoping that everything goes smoothly when Lucas arrives for his unsupervised visit, and has to pull it together when he arrives.

Billy has made Lucas a fort out of pillows and as they all play together Lucas seems to be enjoying himself. But when Lucas' pillow fort collapses on him Dawn snaps.

Realising that she's frightened Lucas and that he's now scared of her, Dawn tries desperately to rectify things but it looks as though the damage has already been done.

Meanwhile, Victoria is shocked when Moira tells her that she's signed the divorce papers Cain gave her. Victoria implores Moira to talk things through with Cain and give things another go.

At the Woolpack, Cain lays in to Nate when he tries to get involved and as a result feels the sharp end of Cara's tongue - but Nate doesn't want her help and is determined to see Cain and Moira back together.

Cain goes to visit Moira after Nate tells him about the Rustlers. As they talk they're interrupted by a strange noise, and Cain legs it to the barn, his gun aloft.

Their panic settles when they realise the noise is just a broken barn door, but upon further investigation in the fields, Cain comes across a dead sheep and runs back to the barn where he's left Moira.

Seeing a figure approach Moira in the barn, Cain pulls his gun and shoots, assuming it's a Rustler. But as Cain and Moira approach the body, they're shocked to see who they've shot...

Leyla and Liam are growing closer and flirt outrageously - but how will Jacob and Leanne feel about their growing relationship?

Elsewhere, Jai comes home early from rehab and Priya is thrilled to see him looking like his usual self again.

Now let's recap on everything that's happening this week...

With Marlon Dingle wrongly incarcerated at HMP Hotten for the murder of Graham Foster, April Windsor goes to visit him and promises that she'll get him out. When Rhona Goskirk visits the next day and shares her suspicions about Kim Tate, Marlon is hopeful.

Elsewhere, Charity Dingle worries that Vanessa Woodfield will go to the police about the money she stole from Graham, and thinks it may be the end of their relationship. Feeling guilty, Vanessa decides to confide in Rhona Goskirk but Charity bursts in before she can tell her the truth.

Pierce holds Vanessa hostage

With Pierce Harris back on the scene, Rhona worries for her safety and and Pierce makes away with Johnny.

Meanwhile, Matty Barton struggles to manage Butler's farm on his own and enlists Vinny Dingle to help out. But soon they're dragged into trouble when they become the target of dangerous rustlers and Moira Barton arrives all guns blazing.

Cain Dingle serves Moira Barton with divorce papers, Luke Posner and Victoria Sugden grow closer and Pete Barton prepares to leave the village.
