Emmerdale spoilers: Belle Dingle broken as Andrea Tate BLACKMAILS Jamie

Andrea desperately tries to convince Jamie that he's only hit an animal and begs him not to do anything rash but wracked with guilt Jamie heads to the hospital.

He's horrified to find Matty and Cain who tell him that Moira has been the victim of a hit and run. Belle is there too and instantly on alert when she sees Jamie acting strangely.

Meanwhile Cain is sick with worry at the hospital as they await news from doctors on unconscious Moira's condition.

After keeping vigil by her bedside for hours Matty and Cain agree to head home but waving off Matty, Cain settles down beside Moira to keep watch over her over night.

The next day, an exhausted Cain speaks to nurses about Moira's chances of recovery and is overcome with emotion when he realise he may lose her.

After Andrea shows up at the hospital and intercepts Jamie before he can confess what he's done to Belle, Belle is shocked to see them together again.

Back at Home Farm, a distraught Belle shows up and hammers on the door, desperate to see Jamie, but Jamie feels trapped.

When Andrea answers the door Belle barges in but a vengeful Andrea manages to convince Belle that Jamie isn't interested in her any more, and Belle leaves in tears.

The next day, Andrea tells Jamie they need to convince Kim they're back together and head into the village to put on a united front.

Seeing Jamie and Andrea arrive at the café together, an upset Belle leaves but much to Andrea's dismay Jamie follows her and explains how difficult his situation is.

Later that evening, Andrea is determined to win Jamie back round for good and plans a date night but is thwarted when Jamie tells her he doesn't love her anymore.

Instead he's made up his mind and wants to be with Belle but a panicked Andrea threatens to go to the police if Jamie leaves her and report him hitting Moira.

Elsewhere, Harriet has her own suspicions about who might have hit Moira and after their run in last week, she confronts Malone.

Malone is insistent that the hit and run has nothing to do with him but Harriet is unconvinced, knowing only too well Malone's past.

When Cain finally makes it home from the hospital Rhona and Nate are in the kitchen. Rhona had planned to run the farm on her own but loses confidence when she sees their orders.

As they discuss their business deal, Cain tells Rhona and Nate not to tell Moira about what they've been up to.

But their conversation isn't private for long when Kim turns up at Butler's fuming after hearing about them going behind her back.

Rhona and Cain desperately try to convince Kim that their deal wasn't an act of revenge but Kim is suspicious and vows to bankrupt them.

Meanwhile, Dan is recovering slowly and feeling more positive but Amelia is left insulted when he receives a get well soon card from Brenda.

At the café Bob is adamant that he'll be able to run things alone while Brenda is away but soon there's a spanner in the works.

Bob receives a call from the insurance company and is told that they won't pay out to help pay off Dan following the incident.

Soon Nicola is struck with an idea about the café and it's not long before she's cornered Jimmy and roped him into helping out.
