Lily Collins confirms the future of Emily In Paris

When Emily In Paris first arrived on Netflix back in 2020 viewers had the chance to see Emily Cooper, a young marketing executive, arrive for a year in the French capital. After a rocky start, which saw her have an on-off relationship with her neighbour Gabriel and British guy Alfie, Emily's future in the city was uncertain.

However, with the show's success it was quickly renewed for a second season, and then for another two following that. Now, just days after fans have been watching the newly released Season 4 Part 2 of the show, set in Italy, Lily Collins, who plays the lead character Emily, has confirmed the exciting news that the show has been confirmed for a fifth season.

Posting a collaboration post between the show's official Instagram account and Lily, the post consists of two pics, where Lily is sitting holding an espresso cup with Emily In Paris written on it. In the background the Italian capital, Rome, can be seen. In the second photo, Lily has cup tipped up, so you can see the bottom, which has '5' written on the bottom, in the distinctive Emily In Paris typeface.

Since announcing the news, fans have been flooding the comments with exciting messages. One wrote: 'Excuse me, 5? I need it right now already 😄', with another commenting: 'I don’t want season 5 of Emily in Paris, I NEED Season 1 of Emily in Rome🫶🏼😂'.

In the most recent season, which was released in two parts, fans got the chance to see Emily as she ventured beyond Paris to Italy, where she ultimately opens an Agence Grateau office in Rome. Along the way, Emily meets Marcello, who she ends up in a relationship with, however Gabriel, after being encouraged by Alfie to pursue his feelings, prepares to find Emily. Setting up fans for a fifth season.

Emily In Paris seasons one to four are now available to stream on Netflix.

When will Emily In Paris season five be released?

It has not yet been announced when the fifth season will be released.
