It's no secret that 'Eyes Closed' singer Ed Sheeran is a big Pokemon fan. The singer released his song 'Celestial' in collaboration with the animated series back in 2022, and now he's shared footage of him voicing some characters, while on tour in Japan.

Ed has been on tour in Asia recently, supported by Calum Scott, but away from the stage, he revealed that Pokemon asked him to voice some of his favourite Pokemon, while he was in the country.

Sharing a video of himself recording the parts, while watching an episode of the show, he told his fans: 'Got invited by the people at @pokemon to voice some of my favourite Pokémon whilst in Japan. Very surreal and amazing!'

Fans couldn't believe what they were hearing, with many taking to the comments. One wrote: 'Aaaaa gotta catch em all' (sic), with another saying: 'Ed doing all these side quests. We love to see it😍'.

This news comes just days before Pokemon fans are due to celebrate Pokemon Day (27th February). And, just a week after Jax Jones has released his latest song called 'Never Be Lonely', which is a collaboration with German singer Zoe Wees and Pokemon.

Meanwhile, for Ed's fans, we'll have to wait a little longer before he comes to Europe. The singer is set to perform several dates in Europe as part of his 'Mathematics' tour, in June and July, however he hasn't announced any UK dates yet.
