9 unbelievable things that aren't April Fools
Now you'll be questioning everything you read
Last updated 31st Mar 2020
This time of the year there are plenty of April Fools stories, however here are some stories you might think we have made up, but they are actually true!
From the tourist who joined a search for HERSELF, to the 'sport' Snooker Golf, and the man who was stopped for driving with a greenhouse on his car, to the mugger who refused to take a mobile phone because it was too old!
Some of these stories are unbelievable!
1. Amazon Dash Button
Back in 2015, Amazon released a set of buttons which you can stick around your home and immediately order a product when you're running out. At the time, many thought it was an April Fool, but of course they are now widely available for those who don't want to use a pen and paper!

2. Illegal dancing
In Sweden, bars and clubs must have a permit to allow their customers to dance. Members of the public can be fined for dancing spontaneously, including just tapping their foot to a beat, in public places.
Sweden isn't the only country to have a ban on dancing, a few other countries around the world including Germany, Japan and Afghanistan have similar bans.
3. Holiday-maker joins a search for herself
While on a tour in Iceland a lady decided to get changed and freshen up when they stopped to see a volcano. When she returned her tour-mates didn't recognise her and a search party was formed.
The lady failed to recognise the description of herself and joined the search! Around 50 people joined the search, both in vehicles and on foot, even the coast guard was alerted!
4. Kids get hospitalised after a schoolboy sprays too much deodorant
Not the Lynx Effect they were looking for! Axe (known as Lynx in the UK) caused eight children to be hospitalised in the US after a boy sprayed too much of the deodorant at his school in Brooklyn.
5. Chinese zoo substitutes dogs and foxes for lions and leopards
You couldn't make it up, but a Chinese zoo replaced some of their 'wild' animals with much smaller, less dangerous animals! Watch the CNN report below.
6. Beggars can't be choosers, but muggers can
When Kevin Cook was mugged in New York's Central Park in December 2013, he had a bit of a surprise when the mugger refused to take his phone saying, "What the f*** is this?". Clearly Kevin's old mobile phone wasn't of a good enough standard.
7. Foot Golf and Snooker Golf exist
While crazy golf is a fairly common past time at seaside resorts, not many know that variations of the game exist combining it with football and snooker.
That's right, there are now Foot Golf courses dotted all over the country and for those prepared to travel a little further afield, you can play Snooker Golf in Belgium (below).
8. Man takes greener driving literally
Spotted over the Easter bank holiday a while ago, a man transported his fully assembled greenhouse (albeit without the glass) at least seven miles, through the country roads of Somerset.
9. Lady decorates dog poo
Rather unbelievably, Theresa Ritchie from Peterhead, Scotland, decorated dog poo she came across on the pavement with strawberries and cream, in order to draw owners attention to the little piles of poo.
We're pretty sure you don't need to see a photo of that.
