Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik will make his first solo appearance since sensationally quitting the band last month.

The 22-year-old will attend the Asian Awards in London alongside producer Naughty Boy tonight (Friday 17th April).

It is rumoured that there will be an announcement about Zayn’s solo career, after the pair have been working together in the studio.

The producer posted a picture of the pair on Twitter last night, alongside the caption: “Got me on that go dumb s**t.”

Malik has not commented on his potential solo career since leaving the band.

However days after his split from One Direction, a track called ‘I Won’t Mind’ featuring vocals from the singer surfaced online - only to be taken down hours later.

This sparked an argument with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson who later tweeted: “Wow @NaughtyBoyMusic you’re so inconsiderate pal, seriously how old are you? Grow up! #masterofallwisdom.”

Other guests expected to attend the Asian Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London include X Factor judge Louis Walsh, Gok Wan and Denise van Outen.
