The Wanted Announce New Single 'Walks Like Rihanna'

The Wanted have paid the ultimate tribute to Bajan pop superstar Rihanna by name checking her on their new single.

Titled ‘Walks Like Rihanna’, the ‘pure pop summer anthem’ is the first tantalising taster of The Wanted’s third album and is available to download from 23rd June.

The song was co-written and produced by pop legend Dr Luke who is famous for his collaborations with Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Pink and Britney Spears.

Tom Parker enthused: “We are really excited about this single. We feel it’s a little different from the usual Wanted sound, we’ve stripped it back to pure pop, it’s just a feel good, fun track.”

Max, Siva, Jay, Nathan and Tom recently jetted out to Los Angeles to film a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ music video that will premiere on 7th May.

Tom added: “Fun is a good word to describe the video too. Let’s just say it’s got a lot of character.”

The track and video both feature Nathan Sykes who underwent surgery in America last week to correct a haemorrhaged vocal chord

Currently on hiatus while he recovers from surgery it’s still unclear when or whether Nathan will return to the band. Get well soon Nathan!!

Fans will be able to pre-order ‘Walks Like Rihanna’ from iTunes on Tuesday 7th May and the first play of the single will be next Monday (29th April).
