The Vamps, Ella Eyre On MTV Brand New for 2014 Shortlist

The Vamps, Ella Eyre and Sam Smith are among the 10 artists shortlisted for the MTV Brand New for 2014 award.

!Unveiled last night at the Drury Club in London, the shortlist artists will go head to head in a public vote that opens on December 16th with the winner being announced in early February 2014.

Sam Smith said of his nomination: “Thank you MTV for including me in you Brand New for 2014! I grew up with MTV, so it is really exciting to be a part of this campaign.”

The artists on the shortlist will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous big name nominees Adele, Haim, Lady Gaga, Tinie Tempah, Ke$ha, Florence & The Machine, Labrinth, The Vaccines and Justin Bieber.
